I see a couple of these fairly regularly, they are neat cars, of a bit over the top.
I find the current gen Civic to be a bit aggressive looking already, for an unpretentious econobox commuter car, and the Type-R really takes it over the top.

That’s part of what I like about it, I think it looks cool.

I does look cool, and I bet it’s fun, but man, I have to be honest I couldn’t get past how extremely fake all the extremely large
vents are. Maybe it’s my professional deformation as a designer, I dunno. But when you base your entire design language
on something fake, dishonest... I can’t even

Sharp looking car, nice lines - but the spoiler is just....too much. I don’t understand the appeal of a spoiler that seems to appeal to only 13-16 year old boys is tacked onto a nice looking car like that. I feel the same way about the WRX STI - too much.
But that’s just my opinion , obviously enough people like it, so there it is.
But all I see is this......

Makes me crazy. Personally, I think this thing looks incredibly trashy.

It’s not a spoiler, it’s a wing.
(The official “is it a wing” test.)
I think the Civic coupe with its current styling would make an excellent Type R. Love that lightbar.

It does look cool, and I think maybe 10 years ago I would have been drooling for one. Now I’m kind of meh on it. I love the performance, and I wouldn’t hate on anyone for getting one, but it’s a little too much for me.
That said, I’m starting to kick around ideas Cruze replacements, and the Si does make my list. If I could get a Type-R drivetrain/suspension in an Si body? Then I’d be real interested!

I’d love the reverse too, a hatchback si would be great for practicality and be more affordable for me.

I love the ire it brings to people. But my TL is faster. As has been verified in Mexico and Russia...by other people. I don’t do that sort of thing.

Someone at my school has a blue one they street park and I think it’s pretty cool they’re not babying it. Would still be painful to street park that though.
